Colors

A film treatment for NASCAR that never saw the light of day, other than here — R.I.P.

NASCAR stock cars are decorated with multiple colors, but in contrast to their appearance, is their history. With the strategy ‘Born from Bad’, we developed a film that looks at the dark bootlegging history of NASCAR, through the array of colors on their famous stock cars. These colors were not given to them, but rather earned.

Below, is the mood film I edited, to present the attitude and feeling we wanted the film to portray. Next, are storyboards for the script. We wanted the VO to sound as if it was coming through an old 1930's police car radio.
